Nominated by Dr. Weppler

"In his role as the program director of the medical oncology program at the BC Cancer Agency, he mentors countless medical oncology residents and other trainees."

"I had the privilege of learning from Howie during my time in the program, and I can attest to his exceptional leadership and guidance. Howie practices evidence-based, patient-centered care, and the compassion he shows to his patient is something I will never forget."

"He works hard to further resident’s education, and his passion has helped to grow and develop the residency program. What sticks out the most to me about Howie is how he always goes above and beyond - for his patients, his coworkers and especially for the residents. I feel privileged to have learned from and been mentored by Howie, and I know that is a sentiment shared by countless trainees."
